Marina di Varazze
The most up-to-date marina on the western Italian Riviera: life on the sea at its best, within easy reach of the city

Cultivating the art of leisure, pleasure and ‘the good life’:
a dream that can be turned into reality quickly and easily

The unparalleled experience in the yachting world brought to the marina sector by Azimut|Benetti Group, and its chairman Paolo Vitelli in particular, permeates the project’s guiding philosophy, which can be summed up as the desire to build a world of services around the customer to ensure they have the best possible holiday and cruising experience: from a convenient location and a child-friendly atmosphere, to a packed calendar of events and excellent assistance.

The Marina’s architecture has been designed to be part of the surrounding environment by one of Italy’s top firms of architects, led by Turin-based Roberto Gabetti and Aimaro Isola, working in tandem with Pietro Venezia from Varazze: eight buildings inspired by early twentieth century bathing establishments in Liguria, built from iroko wood and stone, with antiqued copper roofs that merge into the surrounding panorama.

And starting in summer 2014, with the launch of Project 44 (a reference to the Marina’s latitude), the programme has grown in both breadth and depth, offering superior quality initiatives in sporting and other contexts. Sailing and regatta enthusiasts, in particular, can look forward to some important events during the year, starting in autumn. Events and cultural and culinary initiatives provide the perfect backdrop against which to enjoy life at the Marina to the full and get involved in the activities it offers. Marina di Varazze has 800 berths for yachts up to 45 meters in length. The piers and pontoons in the eastern section of the Marina are reserved for sailing yachts, while the piers in the three areas to the west are for motor yachts.
